Quite a Weekend...

Soo... my water broke earrrly Friday morning...around 4:45am. I hadn't really slept well all night because I was feeling what I THOUGHT were gas pains. Brian had even come into the living room to watch a movie with me at about 2am. I went potty at 4:45, and WAH-LAH! So off to the hospital we went to confirm my suspicions and next thing I knew, our parnets were on the way and I was being pumped with Pitosin! (BOOO!) I had 24 hours to have Avery and my contractions weren't resulting in anything...so they pumped me with the dreaded drug and off we went!

As most of you know, I was really excited to attempt a natural birth. Well, I lasted about 6 hours and was SURE we were almost ready to push. THey checked me and said I was ABOUT HALFWAY THERE!?!?? Okay....time for an epidural. I literally could NOT take anymore . But I'm glad I know what it feels like up to a certain point. So anyway- after the epi it was smooth sailing. I labored for another 4 hours , pushed for 1...and AVERY NICOLE BRADFORD was born at 4:26 pm. She weighed 8lb 3oz and was 19 inches long.

We spent 24 more hours in the hospital with my fam (minus Reidster) and Brian's fam. We lovvved having them there with us, and can't wait for everyone else to meet little Aves!! My momma is staying here for the week to help out since I'm experiencing some severe discomfort in some particular regions. :) So anyway, B, my momma, & I are having a great time with baby! Im FINALLY posting a few pics from the weekend...and ohhhh believe me- there will be many more to come ! We've already taken about 12,000 pics so brace yourselves :)

And now the dogs have ANOTHER playmate...or maybe something to protect. ;-)
